Today’s post is destined to be a short one I’m afraid, as I have movers coming tomorrow and have lots of packing still left to do. I can’t express how happy I am that my move is a short one, from one end of Portland to the other. Born and raised in Maine, I never really appreciated all Portland has to offer until I had travelled a bit and realized what a unique place it is.

This afternoon I stopped by Bam Bam Bakery, hoping a pineapple ginger muffin and iced chai would infuse me with the energy I need to finish packing today. Bam Bam is a dedicated gluten free bakery, perfect for a little old Celiac like myself. However, their wide selection of breakfast and lunch options would please anyone, gluten free or not. The space is inviting, with local art decking the walls and comfy couches perfect for lounging and sipping lattes while writing your blog or chatting with friends.

If you find yourself in Maine on vacation this summer, I highly recommend stopping by. If you’re lucky, you may be able to snag a vegan, gluten free “poptart” before my friends and I clean out the case.
